Cambridge Cluster Report 2006

The 2006 Cambridge Cluster Report, produced by Library House in association with WilmerHale and BDO Stoy Hayward. The report is the third in the series of Cambridge Cluster reports and looks again in detail at the innovation cluster in and around Cambridge.


Since the inception of the Cambridge Cluster Reports in 2003 the overall size of the cluster has not changed significantly and whilst there have been many notable and profitable exits for investors, it now appears that the overall growth of the cluster has stalled. With the increasing prominence of innovation clusters in rapidly developing economies around the globe it is essential for Cambridge to find a route to growth if it is to compete on a global stage.


Library House poses the question of whether it is now possible that growth in the Cluster can only be resumed through collaboration with the other leading areas of innovation nearby and the formation of a supercluster of innovation.
